About 105 + cd's so far. Most of them are from our childhood. 😎 ( Mine and my wifes )
Update on my family's old cd player. The doors are completely broke. The plastic gears that open and close the doors snapped 😳 but I was able to get the doors off without any further damage. I did find out that one of the plastic gears that was connected to the left door stopped hitting a switch near the bottom. I didn't know what that switch did but I pressed it with q-tip. It started reading and recognizing cd's are in the slots. So far all cd slots spin. I did found out this switch needs to stay pressed to play the cd. I placed a screw to hold that switch together. Doesn't look good but so far its working. It has played one cd fully so far. The second cd started up and works! Hoping the third cd works. That would be sick!
Side note: there are 2 switches, both located on the left bottom. The very bottom switch indicates that the door is closed. The switch above that one activates the cd player itself. So far if I let the cd player go though its door rotation then hold the top switch it plays. (Door rotation is when the motors inside try to determine where the doors are located, but because the gears are broken on mine, it can't determine where they are. After three tries, a little symbol comes up that means the door is open. If you just hit the top switch and keep it held; it automatically assumes that the doors are closed and starts to play the cd's.)
The speaker slots dont work 😕 but auxiliary out does. 😎
Thinking of putting hinges on the doors so they don't have to slide via the motor. I will just be able to open them.
