This is likely a repeated question but I struggled to find an answer that fits my situation, so here it goes. I complete 5 years in less than 3 months from now and the option to apply for PR is now visible in Mijn IND account. But my Resident Permit is valid till Aug 2027. I am not quite sure if I should apply now ( & if I risk rejection) or wait till I complete 5 years to be sure. May be I am being paranoid but applying for PR gives me a bit of career security, I have a growing sense that something might change at my workplace soon and I don’t want to be in a spot where the work permit is not valid anymore and I haven’t applied for PR.
