Mendelssohn Midsummer articulation

I am working on the scherzo section of Midsummer Nights Dream specifically on utilizing "stop tonguing" instead of articulating with my airstream during the staccatos. I feel bad habits leaking in, as my articulation to me sounds buzzy and not as clear. Can anyone give me some advice such as practice tips or unconventional methods that worked for them to achieve light, centered staccato articulation?

P.S. I'm breaking in a new ligature (BG Revelation Super) and some new reeds - so the top clarion C sounds ~quite~ uncentered. Any tips on how to quickly find the center of that pitch while keeping the note as its full value? After watching myself play, I noticed some instability in my lower jaw while tonguing also.

How to stop air tonguing Mendelssohn's Midsummer ??

Hello! First of all...I'm a very non traditional student, so please be kind. I'm working on the Scherzo section of Mendelssohn's Midsummer Nights Dream and I'm trying to break my habit of "air tonguing" staccato articulation. I'm trying to focus on stop tonguing - but I noticed that my notes still sound buzzy and I am desperate for practice techniques on how to improve this skill! I would love some friendly advice for an undergrad performer who has over 10 years of independent experience but is relatively new to private lessons. :)

P.S. I'm breaking in a new ligature (BG Revelation Super) and some fresh reeds and I'm aware that the clarion C is pitch is ~quite~ uncentered. Feel free to leave tips and constructive feedback how to center that pitch faster as well!

(Again, please don't be mean or I will spiral for at least a week 🥲)
