Was quoted $3700 to replace the engine wire harness just for this one impact sensor wire. I know it’s risky to repair the wire as airbag sensors are sensitive to resistance but I can’t afford what they quoted me. Is it really that dangerous to repair if using butt splice and heat shrink with battery disconnected? Is soldering better? Bought the car in this condition (2012 civic). If anyone has advice it’d be appreciated. Thanks.
