Me and the lady I live with intend to travel to Poland while perhaps being open to a bit of Czechia or other neighboring countries.
First of all, is it realistic with a budget of 3-3,5k euro's for 2 for up to 2 weeks of travel?
We don't have the highest standards in the world with regards to accommedation, but would ideally like our own room.
We intend to travel around the end of July/August.
Our rough outline right now is flying to Poland (Whereever we can cheapest) and then using trains to get around to the cities and areas we want to see.
Most of the things we want to see are in southern Poland around Krakow/Katowice, but is there ample opportunity to get out of the more touristy areas there without having a car?
Also, are night trains a realistic possibility for traveling? We also just want to try it out, but do they actually exist in a real capacity?
We want to see some things, but we also want to experience the actual culture, and get away from the touristy areas, atleast for a bit.
Are there some hidden gems that are less visited by tourists but still easily accesible by train from other major cities?
Lastly, are there some apps/other means of getting around in Poland we should know about?
And of course, any tips or ideas for things to see, do or eat are greatly appericiated :)
Thank you so much in advance!
