Question about artrophic scarring diagnosis
So, I have an HSD diagnosis but was never tested on hEDS criteria, now I have an appointment due soon, and I put together essentially 30 years of medical history and how it fits under hEDS symptoms, I also took the liberty of filling out the diagnosis form already as much as I could (just for my own reference)..
Now the only one that I'm currently in doubt over is atrophic scarring, it doesn't specify wether that has to be a currently present thing, or wether distant past also counts.
Reason being, I do not get such scarring from normal cuts, but when looking through a 2017 medical research paper on hEDS I can say with 100% certainty that I used to get that type of scarring all the time, but particularly from scraping, which happened a lot back then as I played football (soccer) at a decent level, those scars would also regularly tear back open, almost weekly, but now as a nearly 40 year old man I don't go around doing tackles anymore or climbing trees as i did as a kid, and in those 15 years most scars have disappeared and/or faded to be nearly invisible.
Does anyone happen to know if a history of "trust me bro" is sufficient to tick that box? Or is it mandatory to have currently visible atrophic scarring?
