My TX DL is expiring on the last day of my OPT which is this month. I have applied for STEM OPT and the application is still in process. Since my DL is expiring what are the ways to get my DL renewed?

Hi all,
I am on STEM OPT and thinking of getting my first ever car here in the US. I am confused whether to buy (financing) or lease a car. I have about 2 more years on F1 VISA. I will continue in the country if my VISA renews (H1B or any other). Else, I will end up selling the car or end my lease.
Given the current scenario what would be the best option for me? Or if anyone has done a research on this, would love to get your opinion on it.
