Ocular Mareks? (Swipe for today’s photos)
Wondering if this is suspicious for ocular mareks. My flock is 1 year old and came from a well known hatchery that vaccinates at hatch (I know this doesn’t fully prevent it though). My cream legbar has always been lower in pecking order. It seems to be getting worse lately and she’s now missing feathers on her head and backside of her neck. So her face has been pecked at quite a bit and she has signs of trauma around her eyes/eyelids so I’m unsure if this is related to trauma or if it could be mareks. I don’t really see any signs otherwise. One day recently I did notice a small limp but it resolved by the next morning so I’m not sure if that counts as a sign. First photo is right eye in Nov 2025, second is from March 2026, and third photo is from today, both right and left eyes. I have a sinking feeling this is mareks but ChatGPT has said no and I don’t have anyone else I can ask. Appreciate any thoughts from those experienced with Mareks.
