I feel like we Punjabi Muslims have totally forgotten our history. Every country learns the history of its own people yet we are learning history of the ottomans and Arabs. Of course Muslim history it’s important to learn but we aren’t learning who we are. This is why we have such a strong identity crisis one minute Persian one minute Arab. We have many people whose history we can learn such as bulleh shah who taught such a beautiful lesson to humanity which would help massively with the religious intolerance we have today in our society. Raj Ahmad khan kharal who fought the British and became an axis of resistance for us. Ali hujwiri also the Sufi saint that helped preach Islam in Lahore who spread Islam through peace and teachings. I don’t know if I’m waffling or not but I really wish we learnt more localised history which would make us prouder to be Punjabi instead of larping as Arabs.

Hi guys I’m a khatana gujjar from Pakistan. Now we all know Pakistans Punjab province was once a Hindu place. I just wanted to ask does anyone have any idea what specific type of Hinduism was practiced in the city or gujrat in Punjab as Hinduism is a British name the actual name comes from santana dharma which is a bunch of different ideologies what sort of ideology would we have been following. Also is it possible that some of my ancestors may have been Buddhists ? Thank you I appreciate your responses

This may be the stupidest post ever but please bear with me. I recently attended an interview for an MLA job that was on the second floor, however I was informed that I could only reach the 2nd floor by elevator/lift not by stairs. If you go by stairs to the 2nd floor the door is usually shut at the top due to it being a fire exit door and can only be opened by some staff. I just wanted to know is this the norm for most hospitals in which lifts must be used to access higher floor levels and stairs being restricted? I have a huge fear of lifts extreme claustrophobia would there be any chance I’d be allowed to take the fire exit stairs instead of the lifts? Thanks for listening I’d appreciate your answers
