My baby is 4 months old and I think (??) we are in the 4 month sleep regression. He goes to bed great at 7pm. I nurse to sleep and he falls asleep fine. He stays asleep until anywhere from 12am-3am which he usually wakes up for a feed. I nurse him and he falls asleep eating and then I go to lay him down and his eyes pop open and he’s awake. And then it’s 2 hours of trying to get him to sleep, which consists of rocking and paci and nursing if necessary. This has been going on for a couple of weeks. And then he usually wakes up around 5:30-6 am and it’s so hard to get him to sleep until 7 am, which is his latest I’ll let him sleep. I want to start sleep training but TCB recommends it at 5.5 months. He is ebf and sleeps in the snoo. We are also trialing one arm out. He naps in the crib during the day. Idk if this is all related to arms out but I want to continue arms out so he learns. Should I start sleep training sooner or wait? We are also traveling in the next few weeks for a few days so maybe I should wait until after the trip? All I know is I’m tired.
