Should I return this monitor?

Just got this new MiniLED monitor and have been having a lot of issues. I noticed it first in some games, it’s usually not as noticeable as in videos but still noticeable. I get these weird artifacts with HDR on. I’ve tried both the MSI provided profile, a custom calibration with the windows tool and a P3 profile.

In the first three images this is on a non native HDR YouTube video where it’s the worst. Lots of these weird artifacts. Using SDR completely eliminates these.

In these next two, this a YouTube video with HDR support. In these videos it has less of these grey squares and deep fired color outlines but it now has like green and purple sectors on the screen.

And as a bonus this image I found that looked awful.

I wouldn’t have a problem using SDR mostly but due to the nature of local dimming it can make the screen hard to read and cranking up the brightness in SDR looks pretty washed.

Potential monitor issues?

So I got this new MiniLED and for the most part it’s nice, but I’ve noticed some issues. Especially with things with a black background there are weird pixelations? Happens on something’s while others are flawless. I’ll attach what I see vs the source image. Another example is the most commons where I get gray squares. Turning off local dimming doesn’t seem to do anything either. I’m not sure if the monitor is bad or my gpu is faulty, I have the wrong color settings, or the hdmi cable is bad. Any suggestions are welcome.

Every day now it's non stop whining about the balance changes. I still see people crying about coyote nerfs even though it's still one of the best guns.

Hive Guard changes? Not even half as bad as people say.

Still a relatively easily to kill. Sure I suppose it can troll turrets, but the point of turrets isn't to do it all for you. It's supposed to be a tool to assist you.

The durable damage changes don't matter all too much. If your turret got surrounded by bugs it was probably going to die anyways, you just have to be a bit more calculated where to deploy it to maximize it. And for the mechs the buffs exceed this change. I've been using the lumberer and breakthrough a lot and I run out of ammo everytime before I die in them. For the breakthrough specifically I last a long time going up close and personal with the shield bash.

But seriously I don't understand this playerbase at all. I don't know if they are just not familiar with the game mechanics or horde shooters in general but it is not that hard to play this game even at D10. At D10 I'd say I have around a 90-95 mission completion percentage, and usually if we fail it's cause the randoms who joined bled all the reinforcements out. It just requires a decent build and good positioning, understanding of mechanics such as patrols and how to avoid unnecessary swarms. And if the game is too hard at this difficultly, fun fact, you can lower it!

If this game was win everytime with no struggle it would not be fun at all. Like do you guys want a stratagem that insta wins the match for you or what. Nerfs happen to make the game not too easy to ensure a relatively challenging, but still very possible to win experience. If you can't accept that this game clearly is not intended to be a curb stomp easy win simulator, I suggest you go play another game.

I’ve been looking to get a Mini-LED but it seems like any specific monitor I look at despite the manufacturer there is always a ton of people mentioning they had dead pixels, and an alarming amount of people that said they had to RMA multiple times. Is Mini-LED just not mature enough to make reliable products or what’s going on?

Also, why do they only seem to be made by not well known brands? I don’t see any made by companies like Dell, Alienware, Samsung, Gigabyte.

I was looking at the KTC M27T6 and noticed it’s listed as an HVA panel. After looking it up I haven’t gotten a clear answer as to what it is. Does anyone here know exactly?

Also I’m looking for a 1440P Mini-LED monitor. Preferably 180HZ or higher. Feel free to leave suggestions.
