dissertation due in two days and i’ve barely started

i have my 10k word dissertation due in two days and i have barely made a dent in it. i have two other essays that will be submitted late, just going to have to take the late penalties and submit an exceptional circumstances form to potentially get them removed. for context, i deferred a few assessments last year due to some health issues. deferring again would only delay my graduation so that’s something i’d rather not do. also want to clarify that my health has really hindered me this past year (it involves a cancer scare which still isn’t ruled out, so needless to say my health is terrible, i am in pain and under a lot of stress).

i was granted a week extension under exceptional circumstances due to the potential of having ovarian cancer and it not being ruled out (deferred essays don’t usually get granted extensions) but again made little progress as i was working on my other essays. i understand i’ll have to submit my dissertation late because 2 days isn’t feasible for me, but just want some advice / reassurance on whether i should:

a) defer and graduate next year which would make me 2 years behind my cohort instead of just one (though i really don’t want to do this and prob won’t attend the ceremony if this is the case) OR

b) submit 4-7 days late (7 days is the max that will be accepted with a late penalty) and either take the late penalty or hope my exceptional circumstances are accepted and they are waived, and if so some miracle advice on how to write it asap

thank you 🙏
