Room gets hotter than it used to.
Hello, I am trying to figure out why my bedroom seems to get warmer than it used to and could use some help. So I have a small bedroom with a larger window that faces west and a smaller sliding window that faces north with no heating or AC. I also live somewhere that gets a nice cool sea breeze for most days of the summer. I noticed last year during the summer that my room seemed to get a lot warmer than it used to and even this year even though it's only spring seems to get warmer than it did in the past. For example I have a window fan that will show the temp of the air and today the high was only about 73 or 74 and I had the windows closed and when I came into my room in the late afternoon early evening the temp in my room showed 81 and my room felt warm and stuffy.
So as I have been doing recently I opened the window and put the fan in to bring in cool air from outside and after a few hours the temp showed 70 yet when I took he fan out of the window after it was dark the temp climbed back up to 76, when even a week or two it would at least help it cool down the room to the low 70's. But like I said summer of last year was when I first noticed the difference because In past summers my room usually wouldn't start getting warm until the late afternoon early evening as the sun got this side of the house, but I noticed that the room was warming up quicker in the day and a lot of times would already feel warm by midday. Also in past summers I could open the front window and the side window with the fan in it, and this would be enough to cool down the room even if I didn't have the bedroom door open, but last year it felt that the room wouldn't really cool down unless I also had that door open as well.
In a way it feels like something is allowing heat into the room while also reducing the airflow at the same time, but I can't think of anything that has changed recently on the room that should cause this.
So do you have any ideas on what could cause this issue when it wasn't one before?
Thanks.
