Stars glitter and blink through the blank canvas
Unmoving as waves gently lap over each other
What stirs beneath?
No one knows

Moonlight twists and curves the surface
Masking the darkness below
Where silence stretches endlessly
No matter how far you go

The first sentence is supposed to be about how the stars glitter on the sea surface, not the sky. I couldn't figure out how to make it sound like the sea still. One person I showed this to said it was like the sky and the other person said it was like space. I am a beginner to poetry so I didn't really know how to word it
