I’m considering returning back to Workday after leaving for 18 months to work at a customer. I started at Workday about 10 years working in various roles and orgs, and left a little before the big layoff in February 2025. General culture and vibes were already getting bad at that point, and I can’t imagine what it must of felt like following the layoffs.

Have things noticeably changed with Carl gone and Aneel back? I can’t help but feel a little more optimistic that Workday is trying to bring back what used to be an amazing culture.

I’m aware employee experience is dependent on what team you’re on, but if you were to speak to the employee culture and sentiment overall, how are things going right now?
