Washed my clothes on cold tonight like always. When I pulled them out of the washer I discovered dead and live ants all over them, and a bunch of light yellow dots that may have been larva?!
I’m rewashing on hot right now. Any tips on how to get these out of my clothes (and the washing machine) for good? I’m worried I’ll still see dead ants on my white shirts after a second wash (like I did after the first).
Also, a lot of these clothes are lay flat to dry. I read I had to dry everything on hot to really get the ants out. If I do that I’ll be ruining some of my favorite clothes. Is that part necessary, or can I lay flat to dry after washing on hot?
Finally, it’s raining outside all night so shaking clothes out, or leaving them outside to dry in case there are still ants on them isn’t an option. We don’t have anywhere at our apartment with an overhang.
