There are about 12 minutes each day when Opal gives me a glimpse of the little lady she will mature into. She sits quietly, she listens, she asks politely instead of demands…it is the best 12 minutes!
We are about a week away from the end of house arrest when she will be fully vaccinated…I am very much looking forward to it and I know she is going to love her first iggy pack walk with her big sis.
We have finally turned a corner on this puppy journey where I have sufficiently calibrated my lifestyle to meet this challenge. Opal is a tornado for sure…and a beautiful force of nature.
She also happens to be a prolific spider hunter, an extremely loud yawner and has perfected the art of evasive maneuvering. She’s even learning how to temper her manic energy so that her sister will play and snuggle with her (this was a huge milestone for us!)
Just wanted to write this Opal appreciation post so that when we inevitably take three step back, I’ll remember times like this when all the crazy is absolutely worth the immense joy she brings into our home.
