I turn 40 in June. Signed up to do this race on my birthday to do my first marathon.
I’ve done HM, I’ve got my distance up to 25km with 8 weeks to go.
I wondered if anyone has run this race, does anyone have any advice for running your first marathon?
I just want to get under 4 hours, ideally.
My lad is from a small school of 200 kids. The new comp (high school) is 1800 kids. There will be more kids in his year group than his whole school currently.
He was utterly blown away, in a good way. It’s a real milestone for parents.
What were your experiences and how did your kids get on? Love hearing these stories.
I recall the bell going off as the most starling difference. In junior school, you sat there all day in the same class. Suddenly you had agency and are expected to get up and move around! Blew my mind some 30 odd years ago!!

Tried it today, it wouldn’t reverse into a parking spot, it only wanted to parallel park for me. Odd.

Used this army twice against my friends 1000 army on an incursion mat. Did ok both times. Won the first and the second was a draw as we ran out of time.
I’m worried I’m not using the units and their abilities correctly.
Can anyone talk me through how to use them and why abilities/stratagems to focus on? Etc.
