Am I the only one who’s kinda lost with this weapon durability change?

Like… what was the idea behind adding an SMG like the Canto if it just feels worse than the Bobcat, while costing almost as much as a Tempest to craft and now with even less durability? In actual fights, the Canto just loses to the Bobcat. Straight up. So what’s the reason to ever pick it?

Then there’s the blueprint issue. Most people barely even got a chance to use it. The blueprint was already uncommon, and it feels like it came and went before anyone could really test it properly.

And now with the durability nerf (+35% on rare weapons), it just makes things worse. This is already a weapon that chews through ammo and durability pretty fast, and now it’s even harder to justify using it at all.

It hasn’t even been a month, and the weapon already feels dead on arrival. There’s just no real reason to craft it anymore.

When you compare costs, it gets even weirder. The Canto IV is basically 90% of a Tempest:

Canto IV:

9 Medium Gun Parts 6 Advanced Mechanical Components

Tempest IV:

10 Medium Gun Parts 6 Advanced Mechanical Components

At that point, why not just go for a Tempest instead?

And if you specifically want an SMG, the Bobcat is still the obvious pick.

So yeah, genuine question: what role is the Canto even supposed to fill right now?
