Do multilingual remote meetings drain anyone else mentally faster than normal ones?
One thing I didn’t expect with remote work is how exhausting multilingual meetings can get over time.
Not because people aren’t fluent, but because live conversations are messy. People interrupt each other, audio cuts out, accents stack together, and by the end of the call everyone seems more mentally tired than usual.
Text communication feels manageable most of the time, but live calls feel completely different.
I wonder if other remote teams have noticed this too or if I’m just overthinking it.
