Is anyone else having issues with Facebook Marketplace lately?
I’ve noticed 2 major problems over the past 2 weeks:
- My Marketplace browse/feed algorithm is no longer tailored to my interests. I used to buy and sell watches, so Marketplace would mostly show me items relevant to that and made it easy to spot newly listed deals quickly. Now it only shows 1–2 relevant items at a time mixed in with random miscellaneous products.
- My own listings are getting almost no traction. In the past, my listings would often get 500+ views over 7 days, but now some are getting below 20 total views.
One thing I’m wondering about: I posted 7 listings in one day, and around that time Facebook asked me to submit my ID. I’m not sure if that’s correlated to the drop in views or just a coincidence. It’s been about 14 days since that happened, and my listings still aren’t getting much exposure.
My account says I still have full Marketplace access, so I’m confused about whether this is an algorithm issue, an account issue, or something broader others are experiencing too.
I’ve already tried actively searching, clicking, and saving relevant listings for a few days, and I even deleted/reinstalled the Facebook app, but the issue still seems to be there.
Is anyone else experiencing this right now?
Have you found any fixes or workarounds for:
- getting Marketplace to show relevant listings again
- improving visibility/views on your own listings
