I am in need of a skateboard

I am a teen looking to get back into skating. I had knee surgery a few months ago and I gave my friend my old board when I was recovering. I am in a pretty tight financial situation and cant afford a lot of these new boards. I am in San Diego County and I’m wondering if anyone has some used gear, My budget is legit in the double digits. The highest I can do is probably $40.

I’ve been going by hunter for a few years but idk. I chose it when I was 15 and it was from a cartoon. I chose it without thinking about it really and I just don’t know if it fits me. Let me know if it suits me and if not, what does fit me?

Two weeks ago I got bitten by a bat.

I (16m) was at a county park with two friends, Marco(17m) and Liz(18). We decided to climb down into this storm drain and set up a hangout spot. We had a towel laid out sodas, lanterns, candles. It was a vibe, felt like a coming of age movie.

When we finally packed up to leave that's when it happened. There was a bat at the exit just flying around like crazy. It kept hitting the walls clearly not okay, like it was trapped and panicking.

Everyone kind of freaked out. Liz and Marco shut off their flashlights. Started rushing out but I was in the back and kept mine on because it was still really dark. Right as we're trying to get out Marco gets his foot stuck.

Then I see the bat. It's suddenly right next to me hovering way too close. I feel this pressure on my arm. Not even sharp at more like an itch. Then I realized what was happening. I yelled at my friend to run grabbed the bat off my arm and threw it back into the drain.

We finally got out. Once I was in the light I checked my arm. There were three clusters of pinpricks. Each one like two tiny dots. That's when it really hit me.

Liz told me I need to get help or else I would probably die from rabies. Marco basically just said that I'd be fine. To calm Liz down I called a nurse hotline and they didn't hesitate, they told me to go to the ER.

The county park rangers actually went back. Found the bat. I had apparently hurt its wing when I threw it so it couldn't get far. They tested it.. It came back rabid.

I ended up going to the hospital. They actually moved pretty fast. I got the rabies vaccine away. Then they had to do the post-exposure shots. They injected the medication through my forearm around the bite. It ended up being like 15 injections in the area and each time she injected the same needle, it got duller.

After all that they told me I did everything right and sent me home and told me I had to go for follow-up shots on day 3, 7, and 14.

Yeah, I went from hanging out in a storm drain thinking it was an idea to getting rabies treatment the same night. Thank god I don’t have a fear of needles. Needless to say, I'm not going back into a sewer anytime soon.

my parents picked my name when I came out 5 years ago and I’ve decided to keep it as my middle name so they can keep calling me that but I want to be able to choose my own first name.
