Spyderco Tasman Salt 2 in H2 steel & Cold Steel SRK-C in SK5 steel

I decided to reward myself with some sweet new work/ yard work knives after hitting a big milestone in buying my first house. The place needs a lot of landscape work and some indoor remodeling so these two will definitely come in handy.

The Tasman is going to be an every day work knife and the SRK-C will probably be a more of an at home yard work and woods knife.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

This Ozark Trail D2/ Crossbar lock knife may be low quality as an every day knife that you would use for all tasks, but it is incredible as a dedicated Sod knife. This is my first day using it after having it in my work bag for a little while.

I do landscaping and tree work, and we’re laying sod on the base lines of a little league baseball field today. This Ozark Trail knife really comes in handy because it means I don’t have to ruin the edge of my Endura cutting through grass, soil and rock. Edge retention obviously doesn’t matter for this task so a knife that just easily flips open and closed, and is cheap enough that you don’t care about it, well that’s the perfect sod tool.
