You’ve done the hard part. You wrote the book. You revised it. You got feedback. And now you’re staring at a manuscript that feels close, but not as powerful as it could be.
That’s where I come in.
I’m Leslie, a genre fiction editor (background and experience: www.endofthelineediting.com), and I work as a partner, not just a proofreader. I edit the full manuscript, from big-picture to punctuation, with a focus on making your story feel organic and complete. Strong characters and a solid world first, so the plot lands with impact.
Most manuscripts aren’t broken. They just have gaps. Moments that don’t hit hard enough. Things that feel slightly off. I’m good at finding those places, figuring out why they’re not working, and helping you fix them without losing your voice.
Closing plot holes. Aligning world, character, and plot. Making the story harder to put down.
I love this work because I love stories, and I believe each one has the potential for greatness. In 2017 I edited a friend’s novel, and something clicked right away. The collaboration. The problem-solving. The moment when everything suddenly works and the story comes alive. That’s still the reason I do this. I’ve taken courses, studied the craft, and I’m always working to get better, but at the core of it, I just want to help you tell the story you meant to tell.
If that sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, feel free to reach out. Even if you just want to talk through where your manuscript is at. 🙏
