I had already changed the oil, fuel filter, and spark plugs. It was sputtering mightily so I replaced the carburetor. Put it all back together- it turns over, eventually started and ran at a seemingly low RPM for a few seconds then shut off. Now here’s the kicker - I thought that I had mixed up the hoses connecting to the carb and the plastic piece between the carb and the “90 degree elbow from the air filter”. I tried starting again after switching hoses (I know), it started and ran, but it was spewing gas droplets out of the exhaust. How screwed am I? 😬 I have not replaced the fuel solenoid.
