Hello everyone!
I'm u/Enderluck from Eldritch Entertainment. You can support us on Patreon.
This is my Fighter rework for my Project Excelsior, a D&D 5e 2024 rework.
It is intended to be used with my Weapon Rework, Shield Rework, Armor Rework, Fighting Styles Rebalance, and General Feats Rebalance.

Notes
Goals of the Rework
- Introduce versatility and customization with the Martial Techniques.
- Keep the class' simplicity (that is why it doesn't have Exploit Die or Superiority Die as others reworks).
- Modify Extra Attack to make Two-Weapon Fighting good at any level.
- Modify weapons, armor, shields, feats, and fighting styles. Those changes were made in different posts, but all of them come together to form this class.
- Separate Feats from Ability Score Increases. In my rework, now ASI are part of character level (as PB) instead of class level. There will be no feats that increase ability scores. Now, you get both feats and ASI simultaneously!
I plan to create more Fighting Styles, at least one for each Weapon/Shield Mastery. Those would have a level 6 requirement, encouraging Fighters to get them before anyone else (for balance reasons, they need to have a level requirement of 5+, and considering Fighters get a feat at level 6, putting that level is way better than waiting until level 8).
Questions
- What do you think about the different Martial Techniques? Do you think any of them require a buff or nerf?
- Do you think I should remove the extra Martial Masteries (weapon masteries) they learn as they level up and instead merge that with the Techniques Known (considering that there exists a Fighting Style that gives you an extra mastery and there is a Technique that gives you extra Fighting Styles)? I was thinking to do so, but then I didn't cause they have a progression akin to cantrips.
