Hello, I (27F) will be doing my first solo road trip later this week from Cincinnati to Durham NC. I am planning to cut the trip time in half on my way down, and stay overnight in Beckley WV (decided to play it safe and am doing a chain hotel not a motel. I still haven't decided for my way back whether to also stay overnight or do the 8 hours all in one go). Any recommendations for places to visit, travel ideas, or safety tips? I am already on the hunt for audiobooks, and am picking from my CD collection. I am planning on emailing my itinerary to my husband and father in law tomorrow once I get all the details figured out.
