Pharaoh and Cleopatra is a pretty old game that scratches a very specific itch, that I'm hoping to find in a modern game.

Anno has been nice, but it includes the teleporting resources mechanic present in so many games, where a resource deposited on one end of the city can be instantly picked up at the other via warehouses. See also: Against the Storm, Timberborn, etc.

This removes much of the logistics planning and city mapping I enjoy so much in Pharaoh.

I also greatly prefer objective-based scenarios over sandboxing. Against the Storm had objectives, but no real logistics.

Sorry that the ask is so specific, but is there a modern game with these features?
