Possible angle for Okarun's future development

So, main goal of previous saga or however we want to call it was Okarun "growing" some balls or literally regaining them as they were stolen. Physical glow up is there, we saw the how he performed at the exam etc, now it's time for mental development. He himself admits that he lies, now he's being hunted for his fairy tale power (whatever that is) which is Pinnochio and it's about time truth to be told. But what if by the time he gets his shit together, he realizes how bad Momo's treatment towards him was? Even before amnesia she didn't want fully acknowledge her feelings and put everything on hold after the confession at the end of Danmara. Part of growing up is realising that not everything is going to work out as we planned so him drifting apart from Momo would be a perfect way to tell that. First love rarely lasts forever after all. Which makes it even more interesting considering how Aira matured since her intruduction, now that she actually made and effort to get close to him

Momo's character "regression"

I don't get why people say Momo regressed as a character or that her character was assassinated with the amnesia. She was always brash and short tempered, that is literally her character. The only difference is now she treats Okarun like she would treat anyone else, it's the same situation there was in Jiji's house during his introduction. I guess some people just don't like when character's actual personality gets in the way of shipping

Possible twist in the whole amnesia situation

Newcomer here, just binged the manga (and obviously with my luck manga just started extended hiatus). I'm surprised by the reactions about the amnesia and I want to discuss some things. I saw people say Momo regressed as a character or that her character was reset, but like... that's not the case at all. I saw many complaints about her treatment of Okarun which is fair, but that's her real character. Momo was always brash and short tempered, but before that, she was kinda "indebted" so to say to Okarun after all the times they saved each other with their powers. It makes sense for her to act like this since now it's (temporarly most likely) gone, as that's how she would treat him if not for the magic involved. Whole situation reminds me of the time they went to Jiji's house and she was cold towards him, but lovely with Okarun. For me, this opens up interesting way their relationship could develop, expecially knowing Tatsu's habit of breaking tropes. Instead of generic moment when she regains her memories, they can once again become friends but in more realistic way, or even drift apart once Okarun realizes she wouldn't be interested in anything more if not for all the magic
