Been looking for a replacement for my pair of Klipsch RB41 II(right) and decided to go with some ELACs for a more neutral sound. Even after taking measurements I was a little surprised at just how big they are compared to what I had before.

Going from 4" to 5 1/4" woofers is a huge step up and Im glad I didnt commit to 6.5" woofers as they would just be too big for a nearfield setup.

They are being powered by a Fosi ZA3 Amp, and while I havent pushed it too loud yet because they need broken in, Im sure it will power them more than sufficiently.

On sound it achieved exactly what I was looking for, everything just sounds much fuller than before and I no longer feel the mid range frequencies are lacking.

Im thinking about improving my budget desktop setup by adding an EQ. Right now it goes PC -- SMSL-1 DAC -- Fosi ZA3 Amp -- 2x passive speakers and powered sub.

I have been looking at equalizers such as the Rockville REQ20(as pictured) and the Dolk Audio 7. I would presume the EQ would be placed between the DAC and the Amp.

Is it as simple as using L/R RCA in and L/R RCA out on the EQ to bridge the devices?

Im wondering of there are any issues I would need to worry about by doing this that would arise from changing the analog signal before going into the Amp and then out to the speakers and sub?
