Hello! I'm (26M) a Pakistani planning to visit Uzbekistan from 2-9 June. It's a bit of a sudden plan. I'm thinking of doing only Tashkent & Samarkand because 1. Adding bukhara would leave me less time in each city so it might feel rushed and 2. I read that bukhara is quite similar to Samarkand. I'm going to spend little time walking around the city looking at the historical sites. My plan is to immediately take the train to Samarkand upon landing on the morning of 2nd June, spend 3 nights in Samarkand then return to Tashkent for the rest of the trip.
I need a few suggestions:
Should I skip bukhara?
What local foods/restaurants to try?
What other activities should I do?
Any social activities for meeting and hanging out with similar aged locals?
