I am 34F, obese, my liver biopsy showed less than 5% fat with chronic hepatitis plus it was positive for iGG4 autoimmune disease. This was done in 2019.

I saw my GI doctor today and he wonders if it’s worse or not. My ALT, AST, ALK PHOS are always elevated, though not as bad as in 2019 and he’s ordered an ELF test. (Elevated Liver Fibrosis) blood test.

I am terrified that it’s stage 4. As I said, It was stage 2 in 2019 with not much changed. I take Budesonide for my inflammation but labs still elevated. Working out consistently, eating healthy and trying hard to lose weight.

If it was stage 4, wouldn’t I show symptoms?? My CT scan said “liver normal sized with no focal lesions”. I’m so scared and I can’t really relax after today’s appointment.

I guess I’m venting or looking for some form of reassurance.

Thank you.
