Digital drawings i made for my DND world Im creating. This is a drawing of Lord Veyrin’s two Daughters : Salome(19yrs) and Lyssa(16yrs)(I drew her twice).
Sol’vara is Ruled by three great Merchant houses and the Pearl Priestess , of the three Merchant Houses ,one is a Noble family rich in Elven blood , House Veyrin is appointed Ambassador of the Jade Coast by the Grace of Queen Olga Goldsheaf.
House Veyrin rules Sol’vara’s trade from the Sunspire Keep as the Jade Coasts leading Merchant house. Lord Tyber Veyrin , Ambassador of the Jade Coast , runs a strict ,traditional household behind closed doors, where daughters are barred from ledgers and bred for marriage pacts. His first wife (Myrren)died chasing him a son ; his second wife(married cause his first wife gave him no sons) ,but a year senior to his own eldest daughter, a half Elf named Ysara plays the Silent , pious wife ,tasked with squeezing out heirs ,while secretly hoping her husband will die soon enough for her to influence their child to use Veyrin’s inheritance for the good of Sol’vara .
His daughters resent him after watching how he treated their mother .
Salome ,at 19 years old ,acts the poised lady ,always on point with her embroidery and music when her fathers watching , but when he turns his back she sneaks into the Palace Library,devouring histories ,law,Elven texts and fantasy books . She dreams of opening a girls school ,but her father would never allow it, the closest thing she has is visiting the Pearl Abbey to pray amoung the sisters at the Oasis.
Lyssa is the youngest Child of the Veyrin Household at 16 years old . She has always been free spirited and proven difficult to contain. The Pearl sisters always said she was “ a daughter of the sea , wild and free“ when they would see her sneak away from the Palace and the inner City walls to go play with the low born kids down by the shore . She never missed an opportunity ,when her father was distracted, to jump at adventure ,but when he was paying attention all she could do was stare out her bedroom window watching as Ships came and left the bay ,dreaming of maybe commanding one of her own someday . Lyssa is betrothed to Prince Goldsheaf, youngest of Queen Olga’s Twins and second in line to the throne , but little does anyone know her heart already belonged to another, Brandon Tallow, the heir to Lamplight ( the oldest lighthouse in Lorien , also Where girls are sacrificed to the sea each year ,resulting in the drowned brides [reverse mermaids] saved by the goddess Marees). Lyssa and Brandon met at last years Anual Sol Festival held in Sol’vara, where most Houses from across the land come to celebrate the summer solstice. The two of them bumped into eachother in the Palace gardens and ended up talking all night about life and how differently they would run things compared to their parents. (Also just so you know House Tallow and House Veyrin have been enemies for centuries, it’s been going on for so long no one even knows why they continue to hate eachother,except now the kids are starting to realise how stupid the beef is ).

This is the first world I’ve ever built ,it’s for a DND campaign I’ve started with some friends, I call it Lorien ,meaning Dream land. Here’s a digital drawing i made of Sol’vara,one of the cities in my world , built around a never ending oasis. Sol’vara sits on the Eastern most tip of the Mother continent along the Jade current, holding the golden gate of the Sunsea Dunes ,the City is a shining Oasis . The people worship the sea Goddess Marees who is said to have created the tear (oasis) from her grief of moarning her lover who perished in the desert trying to reach her. The continent is Ruled by the Royal house Goldsheaf who sits at Valemarch in the Emerald Basin way West of Sol’vara ,though thi city is ruled by three great Merchant houses and the Pearl sisters (a matriarchal priesthood formed around the blessings of the Oasis)
