Do you guys think it’s fair to condemn Damon for his repeated lash outs and how they hurt people, and not bring up how Stefan has the same repeat issue with him being a Ripper? Because at the core of it, neither can really control it. Stefan didn’t eat people because he liked eating people, he literally can’t stop himself from gorging on blood. Same way that Damon didn’t kill Jeremy in 2x01 because he wanted to kill Jeremy, or called Katherine in 2x06. It’s not like he knew that Katherine was going to make Jenna stab herself. He’s still not over waiting for Katherine for 145 years and learning she never cared and just kind of jumped at the opportunity to make her feel as stupid as she made him feel, and I think that’s understandable.
I’m honestly in a middle ground now and I’m just curious about others thoughts!
