Went this morning to get new tyres on the bike. Went to Modern tyres in Coleraine.
They told me their bike specialist was off this week for the nw200 and literally no other person in the entire company across Northern Ireland knows how to fit bike tyres. Even though I could see the guy who has fitted my tyres for the last 15 years, working on a car.
So went to Kerrs tyres, again in Coleraine. One of the biggest tyre firms in the country. Kerrs is one of the main sponsors for the NW200.
"Sorry we don't stock bike tyres and only order them if a customer asks"
Seriously wtf!! During nw200 week when there are thousands of bikes in the area, the two main tyre specialist won't be doing tyres. Unbelievable.
Absolutely ridiculous, especially from a sponsor for a bike event!
