What things extra things i can do to stand out from other physics students when applying for a masters degree like do online certificates matter in physics as much as they in CS major ? Are personal small projects/ research look credible if it wasn’t supervised by a professor?
(I’m applying next fall for french unis and grades matter the most in France) but i want extra stuff to have just in case

Okay, so i want to apply for a french university for a physics master degree, i’m a currently in my L2 year of my physics degree and i want to apply next year , now i’m trying my best to ace my exams this year and get between 16-17 out of 20 (i study in a french system university) but during my first year there was war in my country which affected my grades and i only got 12 out of 20 so the question is if i can get my target for the L2 (which of course contain way more important and relavent courses) and i’m planning to apply for an internship in the university to have some real physics lab work and i’m probably going to do an online certificate( of course related to my major). So if all of these happen should i try to apply next year during my L3 to a or should i wait and finish my bachelor degree and then apply with all my grades
Any advice or tips would help a-lot thanks
