Scooter riders with high miles - what is your preventive maintenance routine like?
As in lubricating, greasing headset, cleaning, etc.

I bought this scooter in the middle of Feb. Ride all around chicago on the city streets, bike lanes, and protected bike lanes. Also use it to doordash a few times a week.
Quick review - Its a solid scooter and highly recommend. I will give it 9.5 / 10. I only wish it had more range, however its on par with the estimated range. Also the stem / stem clamp could use a better design. With the sale kaabo was having and coupon code I paid $1175 total shipped. The display is very nice and I get comments all the time on the scooter. People always ask how much it costs, and they are usually surprised as they thought it would cost more.
Issues encountered - The stem clamp has to be tightened every other ride or so. I have been meaning to get some loctite, but it seems the screws loosen with vibration. This is something you need to watch since once they loosen enough, there is play in the stem at the hinge. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. I am guessing anyone that broke their stem, broke it because of this. Before every ride I rock the handlebars back and forth and if it needs to be adjusted you will hear a slight knock. If it gets too loose you will notice it even when riding.
I got caught in rain a couple of times a few weeks back. One of the days the scooter got pretty wet. 2 days later after it dried, the stem had a horrible creak to it. Ended up hitting the stem good with wd-40 and the creak went fully away. Don't count this as really an issue as the headset is not sealed, its bound to happen after it gets wet.
Odometer reset. At around 45 miles one night I was playing with the lights, turn signals, connected via bluetooth to play with the LED colors. Somewhere along the lines the odometer reset back to 0 miles. I read online this happened to a few others with this new display. It did not happen again.
Speed - Scooter is rated for 31mph and I have gotten that fast. I generally ride in speed 3 which is 20 mph. Its fast enough for me. Sometimes ride in eco or speed 2 as well if not in a hurry just to enjoy the ride. If I have a really good opening I will sometimes turn on speed 4 or 5. I leave it in dual motor mode 100% of the time.
Range - Scooter is rated for 46 miles. This is completely possible if riding in the slower speeds. I generally get 30 - 35 miles per charge with a mixture of speed 3 and speed 2 and eco with 30 - 35% battery left. I never let the battery get under 20% So imagine would get closer to 46 miles if I did.
Suspension - This is where the mantis shines. Very comfortable and glides over speed bumps and other bumps in the ground. Ride with a buddy that has a segway g3 and his scooter sounds like a plastic toy hitting the chicago streets. The suspension is adjustable, but I don't see much difference in the settings, so I just leave them set to the middle for front and back.
Convenience - Being on 65 pounds, its not hard to bring it up and down the stairs to my 2nd floor apartment. Bringing it on the subway requires walking up stairs too, so the lighter weight makes it possible.
Durability - I took 1 hard spill already and hit the ground hard. So did the scooter. The edge of the brake lever got scuffed, the headlight got scuffed (lucky it did not break), the side of the deck got scuffed, and the top of the display sun shield got a little scuffed. Seems quite durable in general.
Handling - Handles pretty well. I think in general the geometry of these scooters are not meant for high speeds. Have to be careful. But going 20mph I feel pretty confident in the handling. There is no speed wobble. You do have to be extra careful when going fast since getting a little air off small bumps when going left or right can easily kick out the back wheel. Especially if the ground is wet.
Final thoughts - I am very happy with the purchase. I would easily buy another, and looking to get the mantis king in the next year or two. I could also recommend this scooter to anyone looking for a solid scooter that has medium range.
I will give another review at 1500 miles. I would expect something to need replacement by then.
