Context:
- Already accepted in my “teachable” degree (visual studies)
- Changed application to secondary late and got waitlisted immediately (likely full)
- I have a 99% average (mature student)
Now that that’s out of the way… Is there anyone from previous years who was in a similar situation and could give me some insight as to when we will be most likely to see some movement on the waitlist? I was expecting since the deadline was last Friday some people would either a) not accept their offer or b) not pay their deposit in time. I assume it may take some time for admissions to sort out all the finalized deposits to truly determine the amount of space left but just wondering when other people heard back?
Another question is how does the concurrent pathway actually work in terms of admissions? I have called them to ask this and had gotten 3 separate answers and haven’t been able to find anything on the websites. What I am wanting clarity on is how many spaces/people am I competing against?
Is my education portion of my application fully separate from my visual studies and I am competing with all other education applicants?
Or…
A) I am competing for a spot with all other concurrent education applicants.
B) I am competing with all other concurrent education + VISUAL STUDIES applicants?
If it were the latter, I feel it would be wayyyyyyyyyy harder to get a spot because it is such a small pool of people.
