Should I stay friends with my best-friends ex?
Me 17, Bestfriend- Kate 18, Bestfriends ex- Tina 18
Me and Kate have been bestfriends for around four years now, about a year into our friendship she stated dating Tina, at first me and Tina were not close at all but after Tina and Kate had been together for over a year we started to become a Trio I counted them both as my two closest friends, then a few months ago when they were not short of the three year mark, my bestfriend Kate breaks up with Tina, Kate has brought up small issues that she had with Kate but nothing major and now once they have broken up Kate is telling me about how emotionally abusive Tina was. I feel like I should stop being friends with Tina but I love her so much and I know that Kate can be rather sensitive and Tina quite aggressive. I don’t want Kate to grow to hate me but I also don’t want to loose Tina. What should I do? I need total honesty because everyone in my life is saying it’s up to me but I feel awful no matter what I will choose.
