Possible fin rot? Looking for advice
So I got a betta fish back in February and the last week I noticed that he seems to have tore his fin but then a noticed a little brown spot on his fin. The spot seems to be clearing up but his fins still seem to be rotting? Or torn? Maybe he’s nipping.
He’s:
In a 10 gallon
Got a heater that’s at about 80 degrees
Got a filter (was turned off for treatment)
Eating fine
Not pineconing
I tested the water yesterday and every level was acceptable
He’s been getting treated with API fin and body cure for 4 days now
I have aquarium salt but haven’t used it
Any advice?
I know long finned bettas are more likely to get this
Any idea how long it’ll take to go away? It’s been 4-5 days
