Hi, i am 23 M i did my undergrads in tier 1 mumbai college. (In accounts and finance)
Got placed at a niche HR consulting firm.
Work is nice It’s on workplace culture consulting
Exposure to CXO’s and senior HR professionals.
Great culture experience till now with good manager and work hours.
But i dont think HR consulting is the domain i would like to be in long term.
Pay is very less - below 7lpa (fixed toh aur bhi kam)
Compared to me peers were placed in BCN. 2-2.5x the comp.
I want to work at a management consulting firm with more flexibility in domains.
My acads are 8/8/7 work ex of 1 year.
Key question should i invest time in cat try for tier 1 MBA (considering low acads placement will be difficult) or trying switching but never get into tier 2 consulting firms like kearney, LEK, tata strategy.
