A question for current history majors

I’m transferring as a junior this fall, and I wanted to know how things have been for all of you? I wasn’t sure if the recent shakeup affected the history department in any meaningful way.

Did anyone have a particular history class you enjoyed this semester? Or were there any that didn’t meet your expectations?

Best Spanish professors?

I’m planning classes for this fall and I’m still thinking on my foreign language requirement. I’m majoring in history and was originally planning on taking Latin, but part of me thinks I should just take Spanish as that’s what most employers want anyway.

There are of course a hefty amount of them at UNT, would anyone like to recommend any of them? I’m talking strictly Spanish 1010 & 1012. I’m not looking for “easy” exactly, but I am looking for quality.

If there are any that should avoid at all costs, I’d appreciate that info too.
