Grief / Fight Flight Mode but Dont Want to Use SSRIs

Hey there!

I lost my father (we were very close) about 3.5 months ago and my mom 15 months ago.

I've had consistently heavy fight/flight mode stuff the past 1-2 months where where ill be totally fine...then super heavy fatigue will consume me. Im having an array of other symptoms-muscle aches, heart will get dull ache feel, even pupils dilate.... had a panic attack a week back or so. Overall heart pressure is a bit high but that's pretty par for the course for grief, or post panic attack stuff.

I've seen my family doctor and all blood work and cholesterol checked out to be totally healthy. He believes its just grief and that I dont need meds. I mentioned I may want to try Wellbutrin because of the heavy fatigue, lethargy, sad mood, ect

Prior to this... I had a GAD 3-4 yrs back due to overworking, not taking care of myself ect. I started with Lexapro and after dragging for 3-4 months went on Wellbutrin as well. The Wellbutrin helped immensely. I was so numb that I potentially could of weened of Lex sooner but I played it safe. Once I weened off Lex, I weened off Wellbutrin. Overall was on the meds for 13 months give or take.

Im well aware Wellbutrin is commonly for depression Moreso than anxiety... and that my symptoms may be anxiety based, but they may be depression as well. Its hard to say.

In a nutshell- im afraid of going SSRI due to side affects being more immense. But im also unsure that Wellbutrin could make my anxiety symptoms worse. Side note-ive been sleeping consistently, journaling daily, morning walks, eating healthy, stopped alcohol, nicotine a week back and doing a lot of counselling.

Im even taking time off from work to identify where im at and give myself space to slow down and see which route I want to take. I was hoping to not do meds at all but these physical symptoms are making it hard for me to calm down.

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Thx for all that take to time to read and help others. Wishing you all the best of mental health and well-being ~
