For those of us who drive up and down the dreaded State College Blvd. to get on the highway, how are you feeling about it so far? For some context, Ill provide the link here: https://www.octa.net/programs-projects/projects/freeway-projects/sr-91-sr-57-to-sr-55-improvement-project/overview
TL;DR theyve been renovating the freeway and entrances; currently on State College before entering the 91 on either side, theyve closed off the lanes closest to the sidewalk and now theres only one entrance going into the 91 on both sides, with the aim to improve congestion on those freeways.
Personally, I feel like its going to cause more accidents because so far, most people arent used to how the road wants you to essentially shift in the middle of the intersection. Ive seen a a good deal of close calls between cars just not accustomed to the road change and Im also not used to the one lane freeway entrance change and especially the intersection change.
