I live my Life a quarter Mile at a time

I live my Life a quarter Mile at a time

It’s 2004, and my oldest brother wakes me up around 12:05am. He tells me. Bro. Are you coming with me? I say. Where????? He replies. I’m going to race the Eclipse. I jump out of bed.
Remember the hype of having a NOS sticker on the windows and it automatically gave you 10 more HP. Lmao. Well seriously. Where did you guys drag race?
I remember my brother and his friends along with other group of street racers would all gather down here by the Salt mines. It was the place to race before it got too hot. We once had almost 5 stars lol. But seriously where else did you guys drag in the CV?

What feels ages ago, sometimes seems like it was just yesterday. On 3rd between Kst and Lst use to live what I considered the best Chinese food. My kids say “Hear me out” so. Hear me out. This spot was back in the day Dollar items. Yes!!!! Dollar per item. They had the absolute best Chow Mein, fried rice, orange chicken, you name it. I remember my dad use to take us here very often and we just loved it. I can’t recall exactly when, but I was to say just around 2011 maybe 2012 it’s when this place closed its doors. Here’s the thing. In Chula, their is so many amazing Chinese food places that serve great food. But their was something about this place that just can’t be replicated. I have never been able to find anything like it, that’s an awful feeling to endure…. lol. Do you all remember this place? What did you guys think of it, if so?

Many moons ago, well at least it feels like so. I graduated 2007 from CVHS and my very first job was at Sears. Yes the old Sears at the Chula Vista Mall. Back when FYE was next door, and Anchor Blue was where BWW is, back when Borders and Suncoast were around. Literally back when Hot Topic was dark, and only Goths, punks and metal heads entered the lair. lol. Well, anyways. I often think about the peeps I use to work with at Sears, I worked in the receiving dock, I had such a blast and definitely some fun times with the people I worked alongside in that year. I was only their very brief time, but it was cool. Anyways, I guess I was hoping to see if I can find again some of those peeps on here. lol maybe.
