10y/o male cat with crusting and swelling to anus. Looks red, irritated, and slightly swollen rather than centered directly on the opening itself. There’s a small sore or opening in that spot that looks like it may have already started to drain, and you can see some light crusting or discharge on the surrounding fur. The tissue around it looks inflamed but not extremely enlarged, and there isn’t any obvious mass coming out of the anus itself. However, it’s the anus is obviously a bit swollen and irritated. I am able to get him to the vet tomorrow at 11:00, but I’m very concerned. He’s eating, drinking, and partaking in regular activities. Does he need to be addressed sooner??
