Hey folks!
Marcus Bagala here! You might know my work as a composer, sound designer and producer on audio drama projects on projects like Harley Quinn and Joker: Sound Mind, Quiet Part Loud, DC High Vol. Batman and most recently, I worked with the amazing Fred Greenhalgh composing the music for Star Trek: Khan.
But! Beyond my more technical work, I've been quietly building up my writing, directing and show running skills, and I'm happy to share that a project that my wife (and producing partner), Megan Bagala, and I have been developing for the last couple years is going to premiere it's pilot at Tribeca.
Here's the synopsis:
It’s 1987. From their small space station, co-pilots David and Sarah have witnessed the nuclear annihilation of all life on earth. Now they, and their AI station companion SAI may be all that remains of humanity. But as David and Sarah attempt to search for survivors, they discover that all may not be as it appears.
This is The Dolos Project, an intimate psychological sci-fi thriller podcast that explores how we grapple with immeasurable loss, how we cling to shreds of hope when none appear to remain, and how advances in AI may not be the societal upgrade we’re being sold.
Just wanted to share our trailer, and our general excitement that after many years helping bring other folks stories to life, that we're going to be able to put something out into the world that came out of our own brains.
The pilot episode will be available to check out during Tribeca and then we're hoping to have the complete 8 episode coming later this year or early 2027.
