I joined Reddit recently expecting interesting discussions and communities, but my first few days have mostly been me hitting invisible walls.
Every time I finally find a subreddit I like, there’s either a karma requirement, account age limit, or my post gets removed before anyone even sees it. I understand why these rules exist because of bots and spam, but for actual new users it can feel like trying to enter a party where nobody opens the door.
What surprised me most is how some people instantly assume a new account is fake just because the karma number is low. Everyone started at zero once, right?
I’m not complaining — just genuinely curious how other people got through this stage without giving up on Reddit completely.
What was your “finally understood Reddit” moment?
I need help to know and configure i3wm please any help is appreciated
