ASUS Zenbook 14 vs. HONOR Magicbook Pro 14 - for photo editing on the go, up to 1250 €, Germany
Hi there,
I'm trying to decide between two laptops for photo editing and office work while I travel.
Right now I'm looking at an ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UM3406KA-QD106W) with 14" WUXGA OLED, AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD and on the other side the HONOR MagicBook Pro 14 2025 with 14.6", 3.120 x 2.080 px, Intel Core Ultra 9 285H, 32GB RAM, SSD 1TB.
I guess the most significant difference is the performance and size/weight between those two. Either I take the lighter and smaller Zenbook and have a bit of performance lack or I take the bigger and heavier MagicBook with a bit of performance boost.
When it comes to battery life: I guess the high performing MagicBook will draw more power from its 92 wh battery than the lower performing Zenbook from its 75 wh battery. But I guess I would end up with more or less the same battery time due to the different capacities, right?
Is there any other major or minor difference that I'm not seeing right now?
I had a look at some PWM, display flicker issues but couldn't say if one or the other is better or worse. It's also hard to tell if I will have a problem with this since I don't have any experience with this or OLEDs in general.
Do you have any experience yourself with either of these panels?
Background info: I'm coming from a Huawei Matebook X Pro (Intel Core i7-8550U, 8 GB RAM, Geforce MX150) that has become quite slow and hard to work with.
