How to get someone to suffocate faster

I’m writing a murder mystery. The case I’m having trouble with has a character suffocate in a very tight, poorly designed, system of tubes. The problem lies in the fact I need her to die within a four hour window and I need the killer to be certain she will die within this four hour window. I know suffocation like this typically takes longer, so I need a way I can get her to die faster. So far I’ve made it so she’s positioned upside down, has a concussion, and is gaged. Is there anything else I could do?

One of the chapters in my visual novel has a main character with poor vision. She is legally blind due to albinism. Is there a way I could represent this visually without harming my players experience?

I don’t know if this is the right subreddit to go to for this but I’m writing a visual novel and in one of the chapters the main character has bad vision. She is technically legally blind due to albinism. Is there a way I could represent this visually without harming my players experience?

It’d also be great to get some general tips for writing an almost blind character because I don‘t have vision issues and I don’t know anyone who is legally blind.

I have a teen character (15) in my story who suffers from a hormone deficiency and takes medication for it. Is it possible that suddenly stopping his medication could be fatal? Is there any specific symptoms I could give him to make stopping medication fatal in a way that doesn’t feel forced for story purpose or should I just try to figure something else out?

It would also just be great to have some more general knowledge on the subject of hormone deficiency in youth because all the articles I’ve found are about menopause.
